Suction funnel aluminum (polished) for 40 mm BING carburettors, 80 mm, open, without sieve

Description

Very nice, polished aluminum intake funnel OPEN, without sieve. Rear diameter approx. 80 mm. Front inner diameter 55 mm (connection dimension on the carburettor). E.g. for BING carburetor 40. Fastened with 3 grub screws (offset by 120 degrees) on the flange of the carburetor of BMW 2-valve motorcycles.
Very noble and high quality part!
When using open intake funnels, the carburetor must be retuned. Experience has shown that the main jet is selected a “tens number” larger (eg for 170 the 180 etc.). The idle jet should be selected to 50 instead of 45. For the partial load range, the nozzle needle must be selected one or two sizes larger. The exact adjustment is made by means of the position of the nozzle needle.
Operation in public traffic not permitted.
