Hylomar M is a permanently plastic sealing and joining compound that uses a chlorine-free hydrocarbon solvent carrier. It is particularly effective for sealing close-fitting flanges that are subject to vibration and operates at temperatures from -50 to 250 ° C.
Until 1981, the cylinder base of the BMW was sealed with Hylomar or similar at the factory.
