Description
The carburettors are completely dismantled, the outside covers are blasted with glass beads, and all the fine threads in the housing are recut. Then all parts are cleaned in an ultrasonic bath with a special emulsion tailored to these materials, then washed out in distilled water, blown out with pressure, dipped in Ballistol and dried.
The resulting finish comes very close to the original after processing with special brushes.
Assembled with new seals, O-rings and stainless steel screws, the basic setting is established. In addition, all levers are galvanized in blue. It looks classy and no longer rusts. The float needle, float and the socket of the float needle are checked for function so that the carburetor does not overflow. This will start the engine and the synchronization on one of our engines can take place.
Setting instructions and a checklist are included in the delivery.
Of course, we also offer all individual parts (carburetor sealing set, membranes and screw set) for restoration.
However, there are a few things to consider when dismantling. The throttle valve screws are caulked at the factory. Forcing it on destroys the M3 thread and thus the throttle valve shaft. We show the individual work steps in this video.
The correct setting of the throttle valve during assembly and the correct installation of the rotary valve in the starter carburetor (choke) are just as important. Before delivery, each pair of carburettors is checked for leaks and synchronized on an engine (800/50 HP or 1000/70 HP). This is the only way to ensure that the carburetor is “tight” and that the customer’s engine starts. The carburettors on the customer’s engine may have to be readjusted.
